Artwork auctioned at six times the upper estimate price
The work Trees in Deia by Daisy Dodd-Noble was worth HKD 508,000.00 (€ 61,433.01) to a buyer in October this year. This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale at Phillips in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Daisy Dodd-Noble; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Purple Forest sold at auction in June this year with the realized price of GBP 69,300.00 (€ 80,653.27).

Die Arbeit Trees in Deia von Daisy Dodd-Noble war einem Käufer im Oktober diesen Jahres HKD 508.000,00 (€ 61.433,01) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Daisy Dodd-Noble; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Purple Forest im Juni diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 69.300,00 (€ 80.653,27).
