Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by D*Face could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in September 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Showcase: Otaku Redux auction, the work Friendly Fire changed hands for HKD 37,800.00 (€ 4,192.38) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by D*Face have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Drowning In Sorrow - 2011 in December 2017 with an auction result of EUR 36,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von D*Face konnte im September 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Showcase: Otaku Redux wechselte die Arbeit Friendly Fire für HKD 37.800,00 (€ 4.192,38) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von D*Face auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Drowning In Sorrow - 2011 im Dezember 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 36.400,00.
