Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2011 Christies in London held the auction Travel and Vintage Posters, which included the work Careless Talk Costs Lives by Fougasse. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 812.50 (€ 948.51). Admittedly, works by Fougasse have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Careless Talk Costs Lives in May 2013 with an auction result of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,768.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Travel and Vintage Posters durch, in der auch die Arbeit Careless Talk Costs Lives von Fougasse zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 812,50 (€ 948,51) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fougasse auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Careless Talk Costs Lives im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.768,67).
