This artwork by Fougasse achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May 2014. In the Vintage Posters auction, the work Careless Talk Costs Lives sold for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,301.61) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fougasse - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Careless Talk Costs Lives, which sold at auction in May 2013 for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,768.67).

Für andere Arbeiten von Fougasse mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Careless Talk Costs Lives beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.768,67) versteigert wurde.
