Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,664.00 (€ 1,916.86). Admittedly, works by Fougasse have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Careless Talk Costs Lives in May 2013 with an auction result of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,768.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit 'Goal!' or 51,265 Men's Meat is 48,873 Men's Poison von Fougasse wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion FootballThe Beautiful Game bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.664,00 (€ 1.916,86) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fougasse auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Careless Talk Costs Lives im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.768,67).
