The work Summer Reverie by Cui Zifan was sold in the Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in New York in August this year. It achieved a price of HKD 37,800.00 (€ 4,446.44), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 51%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cui Zifan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Plum blossoms and Cranes in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 50,598.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 51 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Summer Reverie von Cui Zifan wurde im August diesen Jahres in der Auktion Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 37.800,00 (€ 4.446,44) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 51%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cui Zifan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Plum blossoms and Cranes im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 50.598,44).
