Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two Birds / Seven-character Poem by Wang Wei in Running Script by Cui Zifan was sold in the Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in New York in August this year. The price achieved of HKD 21,420.00 (€ 2,519.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cui Zifan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Plum blossoms and Cranes in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 50,598.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two Birds / Seven-character Poem by Wang Wei in Running Script von Cui Zifan wurde im August diesen Jahres in der Auktion Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 21.420,00 (€ 2.519,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cui Zifan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Plum blossoms and Cranes im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 50.598,44).
