Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Lotus Pond by Cui Zifan was sold in the Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in New York in August this year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 40,320.00 (€ 4,742.87), 15% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cui Zifan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Plum blossoms and Cranes in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 50,598.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Lotus Pond von Cui Zifan wurde im August diesen Jahres in der Auktion Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 40.320,00 (€ 4.742,87) und damit 15% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cui Zifan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Plum blossoms and Cranes im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 50.598,44).
