Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year China Guardian held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Cat by Cui Zifan. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 26,400.00 (€ 3,383.05) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cui Zifan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Plum blossoms and Cranes in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 50,598.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte China Guardian die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cat von Cui Zifan zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 26.400,00 (€ 3.383,05) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cui Zifan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Plum blossoms and Cranes im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 50.598,44).
