Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cows in a polder landscape; and A shepherd and flock on a heath by Cornelis Westerbeek was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2001. The price achieved of EUR 1,880.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,600.00 – 2,300.00. Admittedly, works by Cornelis Westerbeek have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Shepherd and his Flock in June 2004 with an auction result of USD 11,352.50 (€ 9,321.37).

Die Arbeit Cows in a polder landscape; and A shepherd and flock on a heath von Cornelis Westerbeek kam im September 2001 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.880,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.600,00 – 2.300,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cornelis Westerbeek auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Shepherd and his Flock im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.352,50 (€ 9.321,37).
