In September 2003 Christies in London held the auction Exploration and Travel, which included the work Deer Hunters in a Winter Landscape by Cornelius Krieghoff. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 45,410.00 (€ 45,740.25), 51% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cornelius Krieghoff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Visitors In Winter, which sold at auction in November 2012 for CAD 221,000.00 (€ 171,041.43).

Im September 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion Exploration and Travel durch, in der auch die Arbeit Deer Hunters in a Winter Landscape von Cornelius Krieghoff zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 45.410,00 (€ 45.740,25) und damit 51% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Cornelius Krieghoff mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Visitors In Winter beobachtet, die im November 2012 für CAD 221.000,00 (€ 171.041,43) versteigert wurde.
