Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2010 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work Indian Hunter by Cornelius Krieghoff. The »bidding war« ended at CAD 42,000.00 (€ 31,380.79), 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Cornelius Krieghoff have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Visitors In Winter in November 2012 with an auction result of CAD 221,000.00 (€ 171,041.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2010 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Indian Hunter von Cornelius Krieghoff zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von CAD 42.000,00 (€ 31.380,79) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cornelius Krieghoff auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Visitors In Winter im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 221.000,00 (€ 171.041,43).
