Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2012 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work Habitant by Cornelius Krieghoff. The price achieved of CAD 12,000.00 (€ 9,287.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelius Krieghoff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Visitors In Winter in November 2012 with an auction result of CAD 221,000.00 (€ 171,041.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2012 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Habitant von Cornelius Krieghoff zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CAD 12.000,00 (€ 9.287,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CAD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cornelius Krieghoff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Visitors In Winter im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 221.000,00 (€ 171.041,43).
