Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Leading the sheep over the heath by Cornelis Westerbeek was sold in the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction at Christies in Amsterdam in July 2003. The price achieved of EUR 2,151.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,800.00 – 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by Cornelis Westerbeek have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Shepherd and his Flock in June 2004 with an auction result of USD 11,352.50 (€ 9,321.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Leading the sheep over the heath von Cornelis Westerbeek wurde im Juli 2003 in der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.151,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.800,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cornelis Westerbeek auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Shepherd and his Flock im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.352,50 (€ 9.321,37).
