It achieved a price of EUR 2,270.50 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 42 %. Admittedly, works by Cornelis Westerbeek have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Shepherd and his Flock in June 2004 with an auction result of USD 11,352.50 (€ 9,321.37).

Die Arbeit Autumn: cows by the waterside von Cornelis Westerbeek kam im Februar 2004 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 2.270,50 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 42 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cornelis Westerbeek auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Shepherd and his Flock im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.352,50 (€ 9.321,37).
