Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Falling Facade by Cornelia Parker. The price achieved of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 22,553.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 18,000.00 – 22,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cornelia Parker - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Alter Ego (Mutiny), which sold at auction in July 2015 for GBP 32,500.00 (€ 46,074.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2018 führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Falling Facade von Cornelia Parker zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 22.553,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 18.000,00 – 22.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Cornelia Parker mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Alter Ego (Mutiny) beobachtet, die im Juli 2015 für GBP 32.500,00 (€ 46.074,08) versteigert wurde.
