Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Composition Grise, 1959 by Constantin Macris was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Artcurial in Paris in March 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 250.00 – 350.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 257.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Constantin Macris achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Planches Sur Les Dunes Le Matin, 1958 in March 2011 with an auction result of EUR 3,444.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Composition Grise, 1959 von Constantin Macris wurde im März 2012 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 250,00 – 350,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 257,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Constantin Macris erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Planches Sur Les Dunes Le Matin, 1958 im März 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 3.444,00.
