In July 2010 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Composition Abstraite, 1958 by Constantin Macris. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 510.00 28% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Constantin Macris have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Planches Sur Les Dunes Le Matin, 1958 in March 2011 with an auction result of EUR 3,444.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2010 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Composition Abstraite, 1958 von Constantin Macris zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 510,00 und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Constantin Macris auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Planches Sur Les Dunes Le Matin, 1958 im März 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 3.444,00.
