Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Christies in New York held the auction Post-War to Present, which included this untitled work by Conrad Marca-Relli. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,190.00 (€ 7,533.11) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Conrad Marca-Relli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work St. Cyprian's Day in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,105,000.00 (€ 710,154.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War to Present durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Conrad Marca-Relli zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.190,00 (€ 7.533,11) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Conrad Marca-Relli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit St. Cyprian's Day im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.105.000,00 (€ 710.154,24).
