Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2003 Christies in New York held the auction Fine 19th Century European Art, which included the work Flora by Conrad Kiesel. The price achieved of USD 11,950.00 (€ 9,731.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Conrad Kiesel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Mandolin Player in December 2003 with an auction result of GBP 106,050.00 (€ 150,205.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2003 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flora von Conrad Kiesel zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.950,00 (€ 9.731,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Conrad Kiesel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Mandolin Player im Dezember 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 106.050,00 (€ 150.205,93).
