Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain, which included the work White Houses: Ballywilliam by Colin Middleton. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,560.00 (€ 8,336.13) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Colin Middleton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Allotments, Belfast in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 90,000.00 (€ 132,441.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made in Britain durch, in der auch die Arbeit White Houses: Ballywilliam von Colin Middleton zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.560,00 (€ 8.336,13) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Colin Middleton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Allotments, Belfast im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 90.000,00 (€ 132.441,09).
