Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Irish Art, which included the work Hallowe'en by Colin Middleton. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 32,760.00 (€ 38,463.32). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Colin Middleton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Allotments, Belfast, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 90,000.00 (€ 132,441.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hallowe'en von Colin Middleton zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 32.760,00 (€ 38.463,32) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Colin Middleton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Allotments, Belfast beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 90.000,00 (€ 132.441,09) versteigert wurde.
