Auction result misses estimated price range
In November this year a collector was able to acquire the work Still Life 51 x 61 cm. (20 x 24 in.) by Colin Middleton for EUR 7,680.00. This price was achieved in the auction The Irish SaleVision & Voice at Bonhams in Dublin and was even below the estimate range of EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Colin Middleton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Allotments, Belfast in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 90,000.00 (€ 132,441.09).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Still Life 51 x 61 cm. (20 x 24 in.) von Colin Middleton für EUR 7.680,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Irish SaleVision & Voice bei Bonhams in Dublin erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Colin Middleton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Allotments, Belfast im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 90.000,00 (€ 132.441,09).
