Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Abstract Form by Colin Middleton was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2020. The price achieved of GBP 3,780.00 (€ 4,168.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Colin Middleton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Allotments, Belfast in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 90,000.00 (€ 132,441.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Abstract Form von Colin Middleton kam im September 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.780,00 (€ 4.168,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Colin Middleton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Allotments, Belfast im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 90.000,00 (€ 132.441,09).
