Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work The Broad Exchange, Broad Street, New York by Colin Campbell Cooper for USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,487.50). This price was achieved in the auction American Art Online at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Colin Campbell Cooper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work New York Public Library in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 881,000.00 (€ 566,195.37).
