It achieved a price of USD 8,287.50 (€ 7,470.93), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 38%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Colin Campbell Cooper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work New York Public Library in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 881,000.00 (€ 566,195.37).

Die Arbeit Portrait of a Woman with a Large Hat von Colin Campbell Cooper kam im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 8.287,50 (€ 7.470,93) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Colin Campbell Cooper erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit New York Public Library im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 881.000,00 (€ 566.195,37).
