Auction result well in line with expectations
In December last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California and Western Art Online, which included the work Mission Courtyard sight 4 1/4 x 7 in. framed 14 1/2 x 16 in. by Colin Campbell Cooper. The price achieved of USD 1,530.00 (€ 1,430.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Colin Campbell Cooper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work New York Public Library in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 881,000.00 (€ 566,195.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California and Western Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mission Courtyard sight 4 1/4 x 7 in. framed 14 1/2 x 16 in. von Colin Campbell Cooper zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.530,00 (€ 1.430,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Colin Campbell Cooper erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit New York Public Library im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 881.000,00 (€ 566.195,37).
