In September this year Bonhams in New York held the auction American Art | Bonhams Skinner, which included the work Colin Campbell Cooper (American, 1856-1937) by Colin Campbell Cooper. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,840.00 (€ 3,628.12), 54% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Colin Campbell Cooper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work New York Public Library in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 881,000.00 (€ 566,195.37).

Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion American Art | Bonhams Skinner durch, in der auch die Arbeit Colin Campbell Cooper (American, 1856-1937) von Colin Campbell Cooper zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.840,00 (€ 3.628,12) und damit 54% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Colin Campbell Cooper erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit New York Public Library im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 881.000,00 (€ 566.195,37).
