Auction result well in line with expectations
The work New York Public Library by Colin Campbell Cooper was sold in the American Art auction at Christies in New York in November 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 533,000.00 (€ 504,639.27) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Colin Campbell Cooper have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2008 the work New York Public Library was auctioned for USD 881,000.00 (€ 566,195.37).
