Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work An Old Town In France by Colin Campbell Cooper. The price achieved of USD 6,875.00 (€ 6,310.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Colin Campbell Cooper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work New York Public Library in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 881,000.00 (€ 566,195.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Old Town In France von Colin Campbell Cooper zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 6.310,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 6.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Colin Campbell Cooper erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit New York Public Library im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 881.000,00 (€ 566.195,37).
