Auction result misses estimated price range
In March last year a collector was able to acquire the work 'View of the Himalayas from Mt Tyne' by George Francis White for GBP 446.25 (€ 529.08). This price was achieved in the auction Travel & Exploration at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Francis White achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lieutenant-Colonel George Francis White (1808-1898) in July 2006 with an auction result of GBP 7,800.00 (€ 11,418.29).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit 'View of the Himalayas from Mt Tyne' von George Francis White für GBP 446,25 (€ 529,08) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Travel & Exploration bei Bonhams in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Francis White erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lieutenant-Colonel George Francis White (1808-1898) im Juli 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.800,00 (€ 11.418,29).
