Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work Beached Boat by Clifford Fishwick for GBP 587.50 (€ 908.73). This price was achieved in the auction Twentieth Century British Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Clifford Fishwick - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dartmoor Panorama, which sold at auction in December 2014 for GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,896.50).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2002 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Beached Boat von Clifford Fishwick für GBP 587,50 (€ 908,73) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Twentieth Century British Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Clifford Fishwick mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dartmoor Panorama beobachtet, die im Dezember 2014 für GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.896,50) versteigert wurde.
