Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Swiss Landscape by Cleve Gray was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2013. Here, the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,220.99). Admittedly, works by Cleve Gray have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Remembering Chi Pai Shih No. 2 in March last year with an auction result of USD 27,720.00 (€ 24,988.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Swiss Landscape von Cleve Gray kam im April 2013 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.220,99) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cleve Gray auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Remembering Chi Pai Shih No. 2 im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.720,00 (€ 24.988,73).
