In July 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction A Fine Line: Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries, which included the work Farcical scene with Harlequin as a police commissioner by Claude Gillot. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 45,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 50,400.00 (€ 59,104.45). Other works by Claude Gillot have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 106,250.00 (€ 98,089.00) in January 2016 for the work Figures In An Elegant Interior Watching An Entertainment With Commedia Dell'Arte Characters.

Im Juli 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion A Fine Line: Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries durch, in der auch die Arbeit Farcical scene with Harlequin as a police commissioner von Claude Gillot zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 45.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 50.400,00 (€ 59.104,45) einen neuen Besitzer.
