Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art Including Property of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, which included the work A Scene Inspired By The 'Commedia Dell'Arte' by Claude Gillot. Here, the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 57,000.00 (€ 42,159.76). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Claude Gillot - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figures In An Elegant Interior Watching An Entertainment With Commedia Dell'Arte Characters, which sold at auction in January 2016 for USD 106,250.00 (€ 98,089.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art Including Property of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Scene Inspired By The 'Commedia Dell'Arte' von Claude Gillot zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 57.000,00 (€ 42.159,76) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Claude Gillot mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Figures In An Elegant Interior Watching An Entertainment With Commedia Dell'Arte Characters beobachtet, die im Januar 2016 für USD 106.250,00 (€ 98.089,00) versteigert wurde.
