Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Speed (C. Cf 7) by Claude Flight was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2017. The price achieved of GBP 19,375.00 (€ 23,008.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Claude Flight have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Swimming: The Start of the Race in January 2020 with an auction result of GBP 131,250.00 (€ 156,120.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Speed (C. Cf 7) von Claude Flight kam im April 2017 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 19.375,00 (€ 23.008,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Claude Flight auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Swimming: The Start of the Race im Januar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 131.250,00 (€ 156.120,41).
