This artwork by Cildo Meireles achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2020. In the First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online auction, the work Zero Dollar sold for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 3,886.45) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cildo Meireles achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rodos in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 641,000.00 (€ 583,045.30).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Cildo Meireles erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online wurde die Arbeit Zero Dollar für GBP 3.500,00 (€ 3.886,45) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cildo Meireles erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rodos im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 641.000,00 (€ 583.045,30).
