Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Drawing 1 by Cildo Meireles was auctioned at Phillips in London in December 2020. It achieved a price of GBP 2,394.00 (€ 2,674.31), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cildo Meireles achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rodos in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 641,000.00 (€ 583,045.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Drawing 1 von Cildo Meireles kam im Dezember 2020 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 2.394,00 (€ 2.674,31) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cildo Meireles erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rodos im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 641.000,00 (€ 583.045,30).
