Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Chung Sang-Hwa achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018. In the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Frottage P.5 sold for HKD 350,000.00 (€ 36,930.59) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chung Sang-Hwa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled 97-3-26 in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 6,440,000.00 (€ 757,854.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chung Sang-Hwa erzielte im April 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Frottage P.5 für HKD 350.000,00 (€ 36.930,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chung Sang-Hwa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled 97-3-26 im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.440.000,00 (€ 757.854,41).
