Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Reverberation; Sound; Thinking of Forest by Chung Doo-Hwa was sold in the Asia+ / First Open auction at Christies in Hong Kong in March 2015. It changed hands for a price of HKD 81,250.00 (€ 9,758.17) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 55,000.00 – 85,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chung Doo-Hwa - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Reverberation, which sold at auction in May 2015 for HKD 200,000.00 (€ 23,467.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Reverberation; Sound; Thinking of Forest von Chung Doo-Hwa wurde im März 2015 in der Auktion Asia+ / First Open bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 9.758,17) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 55.000,00 – 85.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Chung Doo-Hwa mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Reverberation beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für HKD 200.000,00 (€ 23.467,35) versteigert wurde.
