Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Chung Doo-Hwa achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2015. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Think of Forest sold for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 22,000.64) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 85,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Chung Doo-Hwa; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Reverberation sold at auction in May 2015 with the realized price of HKD 200,000.00 (€ 23,467.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chung Doo-Hwa erzielte im Mai 2015 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Think of Forest für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 22.000,64) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 85.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Chung Doo-Hwa; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Reverberation im Mai 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 200.000,00 (€ 23.467,35).
