Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study of a Sculpture by Christopher Wood was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in July this year. The price achieved of GBP 2,432.00 (€ 2,837.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christopher Wood achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Drying Sails, Mousehole, Cornwall in June last year with an auction result of GBP 479,100.00 (€ 556,577.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Study of a Sculpture von Christopher Wood kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.432,00 (€ 2.837,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christopher Wood erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Drying Sails, Mousehole, Cornwall im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 479.100,00 (€ 556.577,92).
