Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Edge of Gnomon #2 by Christopher Wilmarth was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2017. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,386.10). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christopher Wilmarth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Street Leaf #4 in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 229,000.00 (€ 155,909.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Edge of Gnomon #2 von Christopher Wilmarth kam im September 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.386,10) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christopher Wilmarth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Street Leaf #4 im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 229.000,00 (€ 155.909,59).
