Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Christopher Bucklow could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Unseen Eye: Photographs from the W.M. Hunt Collection auction, the work Guest P.S., "25,000 Solar Images, 3:13 Pm, 19 November, 1993" changed hands for USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,219.71) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Christopher Bucklow have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Guest, 5:57pm, 12 May 1998 in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 18,800.00 (€ 22,154.14).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Christopher Bucklow konnte im Oktober 2020 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Unseen Eye: Photographs from the W.M. Hunt Collection wechselte die Arbeit Guest P.S., "25,000 Solar Images, 3:13 Pm, 19 November, 1993" für USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.219,71) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Christopher Bucklow auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Guest, 5:57pm, 12 May 1998 im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.800,00 (€ 22.154,14).
