Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Tetrarch (Claudia Schiffer), 2010 by Christopher Bucklow. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,273.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Christopher Bucklow - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Guest, 5:57pm, 12 May 1998, which sold at auction in October 2000 for USD 18,800.00 (€ 22,154.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tetrarch (Claudia Schiffer), 2010 von Christopher Bucklow zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.273,48) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Christopher Bucklow mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Guest, 5:57pm, 12 May 1998 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2000 für USD 18.800,00 (€ 22.154,14) versteigert wurde.
