Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Monolog 3 - aku agak kabur!; & Monolog 4 - aku kabur! (Monologue 3 - I'm a bit fuzzy!; & Monologue 4 - I'm running away!) by Christine Ay Tjoe was sold in the No Regrets: 20/21 Art Online: All Editions auction at Christies in Hong Kong in April last year. The price achieved of HKD 8,820.00 (€ 1,066.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 8,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christine Ay Tjoe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Layer As A Hiding Place in May last year with an auction result of HKD 13,050,000.00 (€ 1,549,315.07).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 8.820,00 (€ 1.066,40) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 8.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christine Ay Tjoe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Layer As A Hiding Place im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 13.050.000,00 (€ 1.549.315,07).
