Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Alter Idem I by Christine Ay Tjoe was auctioned at POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong in October this year. The price achieved of HKD 108,000.00 (€ 13,060.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 90,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christine Ay Tjoe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Layer As A Hiding Place in May last year with an auction result of HKD 13,050,000.00 (€ 1,549,315.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Alter Idem I von Christine Ay Tjoe kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 108.000,00 (€ 13.060,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 90.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christine Ay Tjoe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Layer As A Hiding Place im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 13.050.000,00 (€ 1.549.315,07).
