Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work L3 by Christine Ay Tjoe was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July last year. It achieved a price of HKD 945,000.00 (€ 117,916.58), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christine Ay Tjoe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Layer As A Hiding Place in May last year with an auction result of HKD 13,050,000.00 (€ 1,549,315.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit L3 von Christine Ay Tjoe kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 945.000,00 (€ 117.916,58) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christine Ay Tjoe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Layer As A Hiding Place im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 13.050.000,00 (€ 1.549.315,07).
