Auction result well in line with expectations

Paris: Editions Cahiers d'Art, 1957-1978 by Christian Zervos was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art auction at Christies in New York in September 2011. The price achieved of USD 52,500.00 (€ 39,036.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Christian Zervos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pablo Picasso, 1895-1973, Catalogue Raisonné, which sold at auction in May 2011 for USD 170,500.00 (€ 118,600.45).
