This work of art by Christian Schumann could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in November 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fast Forward: New Directions in Contemporary Art auction, the work Macademia changed hands for USD 313.00 (€ 296.35) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christian Schumann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Faces) in November 2000 with an auction result of USD 44,650.00 (€ 51,357.26).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Christian Schumann konnte im November 2015 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fast Forward: New Directions in Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Macademia für USD 313,00 (€ 296,35) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christian Schumann erzielen.
